Our Background

76 Creative was founded by a designer and web developer who, after working together on a successful project, realised that their combined skills were well suited to high-end web design. Drawing from previous experience in the fields of design, typography, publishing, animation, and new media, the company has since created an array of sites for clients across a range of different industries.

What We Do

We develop websites and microsites in a variety of formats, using technologies such as HTML, Flash, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and XML. That may not mean much to you, but when deciding on the type of website that's right for your needs, it is useful to know the following:

HTML is the common language of the web. Its main advantage is its accessibility – anyone with a web browser can read it. It's also quick to load, and importantly, HTML text is picked up by search engines such as Google.

Flash is a program that in many ways enables more freedom in web design. Using Flash you can animate objects, have images fade in and out, and generally make the site more interactive. Additionally you can choose any font you like to display text – a big factor in the overall look of the site. Its main disadvantages are that search engines don't read Flash text, and that the user requires the Flash plug-in to view the site. But don't fret, over 95% of internet users have it, and as a safeguard we can provide an alternate HTML version of your site.

Another issue with web design is the variety of browsers out there (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc), all of which have slight quirks that affect how content is displayed. Rest assured though, our sites are rigorously tested for browser compatibility to ensure that users see only what you want them to see. We've got you covered!
